WHAT THIS MEANS5.1 Do not try to recruit employees of your clients to join your firm, or another firm, without informing your clients in advance and securing their permission. 5.2 Do not encourage the employees of your clients to seek employment elsewhere without the client’s permission. 5.3 Where key performers indicate that they are unhappy and are considering leaving your client, help your client to recognize and better utilize their potential. For instance, if you can see that an employee could be of greater value in another assignment, suggest reassignment. 5.4 You may provide reference information about an employee with whom you have worked in your client’s organization, so long as the employee approaches you. It is inappropriate for you to indicate a willingness to be a reference. © Copyright IMC USA 2002
